What is the difference between a Custom Private Event and the Self-Serve option?
Self-Serve: The easiest way to plan a straightforward private event. Choose your event type, date, guest count, and available add-ons, then book directly online.

Custom Event: A fully concierge experience designed around you. Our team helps you plan your event from start to finish — including film options, date and time, audio/visual needs, presentations, extended auditorium time, décor, food and beverage options, and more.
How is Self-Serve pricing determined?
Self-Serve private events include a base rental charge plus per-person pricing based on the number of guests attending. Any food, beverage, or other add-ons you select will also be added to your total. Your full price is calculated during the online booking process before you complete your reservation.
How is Custom Event pricing determined?
Custom Event pricing varies based on the details of your event, including your guest count, film, date and time, auditorium needs, food and beverage selections, staffing, and any special requests. Our events team will provide a customized quote based on your plans.
I'm a Brenden Plus member. Is the Private Movie Rental charge waived?
No. Brenden Plus members receive waived online booking fees when purchasing regular movie tickets. The Private Movie Rental charge shown in your cart is the base cost to reserve the auditorium for your private event and is not waived with membership.
Can I use my Brenden Plus membership tickets for a private rental?
No. Brenden Plus membership tickets and ticket credits are for regular movie admission and cannot be applied toward private rentals. All guests attending a private rental must be included in the rental booking.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests?
There is no minimum guest count for a private rental, but the base rental charge still applies. Maximum capacity varies by auditorium and location. Your available options will be shown during the Self-Serve booking process. For larger groups or special seating needs, please submit a Custom Event request.
Can I add more guests after I book?
If your guest count changes after booking, contact us before your event. Additional guests are subject to auditorium capacity and applicable per-person charges. Please do not bring additional guests who were not included in your reservation without contacting us first.
Can I bring in outside food or drinks?
For birthday celebrations, cake or cupcakes are welcome. Otherwise, outside food and drinks are not permitted. Food, drinks, and other concession options can be added to your event.
Can I choose my showtime?
Self-Serve: Choose from the dates and times currently available through our online booking system.

Custom Event: Looking for a specific date or time that isn't available online? Our events team can help explore additional options, including events outside normal operating hours. Additional rental or staffing charges may apply.
Can I choose what we watch?
Yes! Available options depend on the type of event you select. Self-Serve options may include a movie currently playing or a Play Your Own Movie rental using eligible content you provide.

For something more customized, our events team can help explore licensing an older movie, special content, presentations, live streams, and other options. Content restrictions and additional licensing fees may apply.
Can I bring my own DVD or Blu-ray?
Yes, when booking an eligible Play Your Own Movie rental. Select that option during the booking process and provide the requested information about the movie you plan to bring. Your copy must be compatible with our equipment and meet any applicable content requirements.
How much time do we have in the auditorium?
Your reservation includes the time specified during booking. If you need additional time for gifts, presentations, activities, setup, or other plans, please submit a Custom Event request so our team can help build the appropriate amount of time into your event.
