Programs in The Fine Arts enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.  Boys & Girls Clubs year-round fine arts program encourages artistic expression through classes, special events and fine art exhibitions.

In an era of public education budgetary challenges, the priority for arts education and appreciation continues to diminish.  There is little doubt that young people exposed to the arts exhibit a higher degree of creative expression and appreciation for the subject matter. In addition, encouraging children to express themselves through the arts has proven to have psychological and therapeutic benefits as well.

The Boys & Girls Clubs serves more than 16,000 youth ages 5 –18 in twelve facilities throughout the valley.  Known as "The Positive Place for Kids," the Clubs’ full-time professional staff emphasizes character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation.  For more information, please contact the Boys & Girls Clubs at (702) 367-2582 or visit www.bgclv.org.
